A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, organised and motivated Digital Communications specialist to join our high performing trust.

The role involves taking the lead on the design, development, and maintenance of the Trust’s and Outwood Institute of Education’s web and social media presence. You will play a key part in the development of a digital communications and marketing strategy for the Trust and be responsible for both the redevelopment of existing websites, and developing and implementing new sites.

Outwood Grange Academies Trust is an education charity with a track record and national reputation of revolutionary school improvement. We are an organisation which puts students first: we care deeply about children and our aim is to raise standards across not only our own academies but across the wider educational system and ultimately transform children’s life-chances. The Outwood Institute of Education works closely with Outwood Grange Academies Trust teams. It hosts a wide range of events, training and conferences for all OGAT academies and external customers. The Outwood Institute of Education is housed in a purpose built conference centre in the grounds of Outwood Academy Adwick, an outstanding academy.

While support will be available from the Trust’s software, graphics, and communication and compliance teams, you will need to work with minimal supervision. As such you will be motivated, have excellent organisation and communication skills and be able to prioritise your workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of creating and publishing digital and social media content is essential. You will be confident using a range of content management systems, social media platforms and analytics tools. You will also need to possess a solid understanding of web platforms and technologies along with excellent writing skills and creative flair.

This post is based at Outwood Grange Academy, Wakefield, with regular travel required to the Outwood Institute of Education, Adwick, and occasional travel to academy sites across the North of England. You will be entitled to claim travel expenses.

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
