Outwood Academy Bydales has a fantastic opportunity for a young person to join our family of schools. We are seeking to appointment a Business Administration Apprentice (Level 2 or Level 3), who will work closely with the Academy’s Business Manager, HR Assistant and Personal Assistant to the Associate Executive Principal, Mr Wappat. The post will start in September 2018 and the working hours are 37 hours per week x 45.25 weeks (Term Time Only).
The National Minimum wage for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour, this is the legal minimum pay applying to 16-18 year olds. For apprentices aged 19 years or over, who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The successful candidate will join a busy team in an Outstanding school, providing whole school administrative support. Candidates need to be enthusiastic team players with a flexible and passionate approach to work and can expect to gain valuable work experience in reprographics, database and record management, customer facing services and all aspects of school administration. Good communication skills, a professional telephone manner, as well as an ability to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines, are essential. Candidates should be confident and able to work without constant supervision with excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office. You will receive lots of training on our computer systems along with additional training such as Health & Safety, Safeguarding and GDPR. Working in an environment with young people, candidates must be able to relate to the academy’s students and follow the Academy's ethos of Student's First, Raising Standards and Transforming Lives.
Candidates should be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of the academy and you may be required to work outside of standard working hours on occasion.
