We are seeking to recruit a female Healthcare Assistant to assist in the domestic care and general welfare of specific pupils in respect of personal hygiene programmes and at meal times, using specialist equipment where necessary, including assisting with physio. Experience of working in schools would be desirable. You must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to manage your time effectively. Having the ability to maintain confidentially at all times is essential. As the post is to support students in the academy with physical needs it is temporary whilst they are on roll at the academy.
We are looking for someone with a passion for working in education and working with young people, dedicated to building a strong relationship with students with medical needs and providing the highest level of care and support. You must be a proactive individual with a warm and nurturing approach with students and be comfortable assisting with their personal care. This role is restricted to female applicants only as it involves working on a one to one basis with a female student and assisting with personal care.
The successful candidate will need to be extremely well organised, literate, numerate and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
