Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of MFL looking to develop your leadership experience in a supportive and innovative Trust?

Outwood Grange Academies Trust has a fantastic opportunity for a teacher of French and Spanish to join our Outstanding Trust and gain experience of leading a department for 1 year. The successful candidate will be appointed as a permanent MFL teacher to the Trust in the region including Doncaster, Barnsley and one other area TBC, initially as acting Head of Department at Outwood Academy Adwick in the first year.

Outwood Grange Academies Trust aims to lead the way in languages education, both in terms of ensuring students are taught MFL in an engaging and motivational way, and in developing understanding to enable as many students as possible to leave school with a language qualification. We have a knowledge rich curriculum that allows for this and the training and support for teachers to feel confident to facilitate this for all.

In MFL there is a dedicated team of Directors who provide hands on support in schools for students and staff at all levels, and subject specific CPD to ensure that quality teaching and learning leads to outstanding outcomes for all students.

We have a great training package for teachers new to the academy including: MFL matters, half termly twilight CPD to develop teaching and learning in MFL; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you so you invest in our students.

We welcome applications from teachers with the ability to teach French and Spanish to GCSE, who love languages and have a passion to develop this in others. You will have the drive and vision to deliver excellence in MFL. With a clear focus on outstanding outcomes for students, you will ensure effective teaching and learning is in place in MFL and rapidly raise standards at GCSE. You will gain invaluable experience of language leadership with support and training, with a guaranteed full time teacher post (and the possibility of a permanent HoD position) in our Family of Schools from September 2020.
