We are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Cover Supervisor for our high achieving 11-18 academy in North Yorkshire - Outwood Academy Easingwold.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our Family of Schools and work with us as part of the team who rapidly transforms the school to one that offers outstanding provision and is school of choice in its community.

Cover Supervisors work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom including the supervision of whole classes during the short term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising cover rota for absent staff and contacting Teaching Agencies to arrange supply staff. You will cover lessons of any subject, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed. The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, but applications are welcome from any candidate with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role. .
