- Grade 6-11 (£16,534 - £18,255) (actual salary per annum)
- 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days
- Start Date
- September 2019
Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for these rewarding roles.
Outwood Academy Adwick places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. We believe that all support staff within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of securing student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.
Are you interested in making a difference for the most vulnerable learners in our academy? As our PLC manager you will work closely with subject leaders and the SEND department to devise modified timetables and individualised support to our most vulnerable learners. This may include researching and delivering alternative curriculum courses and non-academic interventions such as anger management or sessions to improve self-belief.
Starting in September 2019, our Personalised Learning Centre Manager will work as part of our Deep Support Team to promote the learning and welfare of students; working closely with subject leaders and the Inclusion Department. The post holder will ensure that all identified cohorts of students are provided with personalised interventions that ensure progress. You need to have a real desire to make a difference to children’s lives but also have a firm but fair manner as you may be dealing with students who struggle to modify their behaviour and require clear boundaries. You will also need to build relationships with external agencies that can support students who have a variety of external barriers that impact on their learning.
You will contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism, celebration and mutual support in the school which promotes equality within, and values the diversity of the school community.
Please note that there is currently a job evaluation exercise being undertaken across the Trust. The salary advertised for this post is therefore subject to job evaluation and may change.
The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
