Serving the bustling city of Sheffield, Outwood Academy City was constructed in 2011 with state-of-the-art facilities and joined Outwood Grange Academies Trust three years later. The school has undergone a huge transformation for its 1000 students, with an innovative curriculum and a personalised approach to learning enabling them to realise their vocational, practical, creative and academic abilities. This was recognised by Ofsted in February 2019, when the academy was judged ‘Good with Outstanding Leadership’. Inspectors noted that, “Leaders and teachers demonstrate high expectations for all pupils. They are determined that pupils achieve well in their subjects”.

Outwood Academy City invites applications from reliable, conscientious, flexible individuals who have the ability to carry out a range of duties. Assist in the domestic care and general welfare of pupils in respect of personal hygiene programmes and at meal times, using specialist equipment where necessary.
Support in the Bridge and PLC as directed.
The post holder will work closely with all other members of the Inclusion team to promote high quality standards of inclusion and learning opportunities. It would be advantageous to be qualified to NVQ3 or equivalent and have experience of supporting students with specific needs. It is essential that the successful candidates will:
• Hold level 2 qualifications or equivalent (A*-C GCSE) qualifications in English and Maths.
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Have experience of working in a care environment.
• Have the ability to work as a team member.
