Based near in centre of Wakefield, the school benefits from close links to public transport and is also situated 3 miles from both the M1 and the M62.Outcomes for students in 2019 showed huge improvement, and as a school City Fields achieved some of the best results in Wakefield in English, Maths and Science.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression, or determined to be an outstanding classroom teacher, Outwood Academy City Fields is the place for you. Leadership development, succession planning and capacity building are major priorities for the Trust as this enables us to facilitate rapid progression for those who want to advance either in the classroom or at a leadership level. You will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and Directors as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. Our Executive Director leads the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub.
