New Year - New Challenge? Are you a Maths teacher looking for a new challenge? If so, we would love to meet you and strongly advise a visit to the academy to meet our fantastic students.
Outwood Academy Redcar are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of mathematics. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals working to this sole aim. We are passionate about providing quality teaching to all year groups.
We welcome applications from teachers of any experience, who love maths and have a passion to develop this in others. You could progress quickly across our Family of Schools if that was what you were looking for, through maths leadership or through our Deeps structure; but, if you just want to be the best maths teacher you can be, then we are also the Trust for you!
Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression or determined to be an outstanding classroom teacher, Outwood Academy Redcar is the place for you. Leadership development, succession planning and capacity building are major priorities for the Trust as this enables us to facilitate rapid progression for those who want to advance either in the classroom or at a leadership level.
You will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and Directors as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. All staff are guaranteed a minimum of two hours CPD per week and a further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of teaching schools. Our Executive Director for Maths, Kathryn Greenhalgh, leads Yorkshire and the Humber MathsHub. This, as well as her work with the DfE, means that OGAT maths departments are helping to inform the development and mould the landscape of mathematics both regionally and nationally.
We have a great training package for teachers new to the Trust from NQTs through to HODs which includes: Teaching for Mastery; Open Classroom events; Maths Matters; TSST; Reasoning at KS3; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you so you invest in our students.
Recruitment and retention allowances may be available to exceptional candidates and there are many opportunities within the trust to develop quickly both within the maths leadership and senior leadership areas for those who are keen to develop their leadership skills.
If you are interested, please apply now and come and meet the team! We invite you to come and look around the Academy which has transformed over the past few years under OGAT.
Applications can be downloaded from recruitment.outwood.com. Further details of the post can be obtained via Andrew Cannings, Director of Maths via email email@example.com
Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
