Outwood Academy Ormesby seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role. Although schools are closed at the moment, we are still planning for the future and recruiting.
Are you interested in making a difference for the most vulnerable learners in our academy? As our PLC manager you will work closely with subject leaders and the SEND department to devise modified timetables and individualised support to our most vulnerable learners. This may include researching and delivering alternative curriculum courses and non-academic interventions such as anger management or sessions to improve self-belief.
You need to have a real desire to make a difference to children’s lives but also have a firm but fair manner as you may be dealing with students who struggle to modify their behaviour and require clear boundaries. You will also need to build relationships with external agencies that can support students who have a variety of external barriers that impact on their learning.
Outwood Academy Ormesby places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student outcomes whilst developing their social and emotional resilience.
In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Faye Gorman, HR Assistant on 01642 452191 Ext.1004 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to assist.
The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
Full details of the post can be found on our recruitment page www.ormesby.outwood.com/vacancies. Please note only applications completed on an original Outwood application form will be accepted; incomplete application forms and CVs will not be considered.
