Do you want to work in a good school where leadership is highly effective, students feel safe, staff are proud and morale is extremely high? - Ofsted 2019

Outwood Grange Academies Trust is right at the forefront of maths education, both in terms of ensuring students are taught maths for deep understanding, and in enabling every student to leave school with a maths qualification that opens doors for them. We have a curriculum that allows for this and the training and support for teachers to feel confident to facilitate this for all.

Outwood Grange Academies Trust offers:

•The opportunity to work and progress across the Family of Schools.
•The chance to apply for leadership roles in the Deeps working across the whole Academy.
•A full and detailed programme of support and development for NQTs.
•A further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through the Outwood Institute of Education.

Our Executive Director leads the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub. This, as well as her work with the DfE, means OGAT maths is helping to inform and mould the landscape of maths, regionally and nationally.

We have a great training package for NQTs and teachers new to the academy including: Teaching for Mastery; Open Classroom events; Maths Matters; TSST; Reasoning at KS3; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you so you invest in our students.

We welcome applications from teachers of any experience, who love maths and have a passion to develop this in others. You could progress quickly across our Family of Schools if that was what you were looking for, through maths leadership or through our Deeps structure; but, if you just want to be the best maths teacher you can be, then we are also the Trust for you!

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Emma Jones, Business Manager on 01642 818200 Ext.204 or email e.jones@acklam.outwood.com or email a.cannings@outwood.com and we will be happy to assist.

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
