We are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Teacher of Geography for our high achieving 11-18 academy in North Yorkshire. Outwood Academy Easingwold has the highest performing Post 16 centre in North Yorkshire and GCSE results are the highest for non-selective schools, an achievement we are incredibly proud of.
Our academies offer a high quality of education for our students and excellent career progression and training for staff. Our driving ambition is Students First: Raising Standards and Transforming Lives.
This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspiring classroom practitioner to join our Family of Schools. They will work with us as part of the team who rapidly transforms the school to one that offers outstanding provision up to A level; and is the school of choice in its community. Applications are invited for those with experience of teaching Geography or newly qualified teachers. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. You should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’
You will contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism, celebration and mutual support in the school which promotes equality within, and values the diversity of the school community.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools and you will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and successful organisation. The Trust guarantees every member of staff CPD and development opportunities and various routes for career progression.
In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please email Giselle Gilchrist, HR Assistant on firstname.lastname@example.org and she will be happy to assist.
The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
