In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Outwood Academy Adwick places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development.
You will be required to support learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment. You will monitor all students in a specific year group, both academically and with behavioural issues. You will work closely with the Inclusion Co-ordinator, The Bridge and the Vice Principal (Deep Support) on intervention strategies, targeting students for intervention. You will utilise the MIS system in order to track and implement interventions to improve attendance. Your role will have emphasis on intervention and student tracking throughout the day using the Academy’s “Praising Stars” system. You will attend case conferences and other meetings regarding students in your year alongside preparing referrals and reports for those students identified as needing intervention.
You will contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, optimism, celebration and mutual support in the school which promotes equality within, and values the diversity of, the school community.
