In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try to accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like more information about the position please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Due to a rapid increase in numbers, following our January 2018 OUTSTANDING Ofsted Report, Outwood Academy Bydales seeks applications from applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.
Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas.
Outwood Academy Bydales are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced technician to work in our Design Technology and Art Faculty, supporting teaching staff in order to deliver outstanding lessons.
The ideal candidate will love encouraging, motivating and inspiring young people through the support they give, have workshop skills including CAD/CAM and be familiar with standard workshop techniques and equipment and be required to support all material areas of DT and Art.
The post-holder would be responsible for reviewing Risk Assessments, supporting the Head of Department in ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, and machine maintenance is carried out. They will be required to be competent in using, or have knowledge of using, a clay Kiln and experience with clay. They will also be required to be competent in using a laser cutter, 3D Printer, computer systems and processes, possess a good knowledge of textiles processes and equipment (e.g. sewing machine, over locker), and how to implement safe use of workshop hand tools and machinery (e.g. pillar drill and lathe). They should be able to support students when working on practical and theory, and work under pressure leading up to coursework deadlines.
You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’.
We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
