You will work closely with the Exams and Assessment Assistant and the Exam Invigilator team in the academy.
Just 30 minutes from Sheffield and Doncaster and with good links to both the M1 and A1, Outwood Academy Portland is a thriving learning community for both students and staff. Our staff are dedicated to securing the best possible outcomes for every student and are enormously proud of Ofsted’s Outstanding rating awarded in 2014. The hard work of both students and staff culminated in student progress placing the academy within the top 10% of all schools nationally, with 83% of students gaining Grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, good time management, an ability to multitask and be able to work to tight deadlines. This role will necessitate accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Experience of working within a school environment and experience of using SIMS would be a definite advantage. More importantly candidates need to be proficient in the use of excel spreadsheets.
The academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools and you will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and ambitious organisation. The Trust guarantees every member of staff CPD and development opportunities.
In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try to accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Stephen Lambert, Business Manager on 07593 138296 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist.
