Outwood Academy Valley is an outstanding school in the North of Nottinghamshire at the gateway to the famous Dukeries, including Clumber Park. Situated in Worksop, a vibrant town with a historic market centre and a mining heritage, we work closely with the town’s other secondary school, Outwood Academy Portland to raise standards and transform lives of the children in the community. In December 2007 the school was rebuilt to provide a state of the art learning environment with excellent facilities for learning.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Co-ordinator. The purpose of this role is to lead the Inclusion Team, ensuring that student progress and achievement needs are met. Reporting to the SENDCo, the Inclusion Co-ordinator will lead on all aspects of Inclusion including SEND, EAL, and Gifted and Talented. The successful candidate will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students and those who experience barriers to learning.
To be successful in this rewarding role, you must have experience in a management role, working as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and have the ability to lead a team of staff. Experience of working with young people and families in SEND/Inclusion setting is essential for this role. You must be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead by example are essential. You will be required to deal with students, parents and outside agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner.
