Do you want to work in a good school where leadership is highly effective, students feel safe, staff are proud and morale is extremely high?
Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.
The main purpose of this role is to provide First Aid and medical assistance to staff and pupils during the academy day, whilst playing a key role in their ongoing health and welfare. You will be responsible for logging accidents, including RIDDOR and HSE reportable incidents, writing and maintaining risk assessments, producing individual Healthcare plans and maintaining databases and supplies. Other responsibilities include accompanying students to hospital and home whenever necessary.
The successful applicant must be a qualified first aider, enthusiastic and empathetic. Experience of working in a school environment is desirable. The role will involve liaising with colleagues on issues and to share information, so good communication skills are essential.
Outwood Academy Acklam places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. In a recent Ofsted inspection we were graded good and we are still improving to become outstanding. This is an opportunity for you to join us on this journey.
In line with Government guidance we are currently limiting access to our academy. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In some instances, we may use remote processes in place of academy-based interviews and therefore we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage. Understandably, visits to the school may be limited at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Jess Lamplough, HR Assistant on email@example.com and we will be happy to assist.
Details and application forms can be found on our website at www.outwood.com/vacancies
If you require further information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org please note that CVs will not be accepted as part of our recruitment process.
