We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join our strong and supportive department. Applications from all subject specialists are welcome.
At GCSE, we teach AQA, and we have developed a focused curriculum from Year 7 to Year 11, which prepares students well for the rigors of their GCSE courses and beyond. At A Level we deliver AQA physics, chemistry and biology.
Outwood Academy Valley is a warm and welcoming school where students love to learn and every member of the community feels valued and engaged. The Academy were delighted to achieve 85% for English and Maths in the 2016 GCSE results. We operate at the heart of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust, so there is plenty of scope to build your career across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and move into leadership. The Science Department achieved fantastic results (81% of the whole cohort this year achieved 1 GCSE at A* - C and 71% achieved 2 GCSE A* - C passes in science qualifications). Staff continue to work together to produce learning experiences of the highest quality.
Research by Price Waterhouse Cooper published in The Times lists Outwood Grange Academies Trust as the highest-performing multi-academy trust.
